The Mission of the Java World Congress is to integrate Open Source Java technology into ten ( 10) different areas of sustainable development known as as the Rights Based Community Development Framework developed through grassroots consultations based on the United Nations Millennium development Goals (MDGs) . These development areas are the main thematic areas of the Java World Congress 2010. At the Java world congress a plaform will be created to integrate Java Technology in those areas for further development. These areas include

Education & Training for all

Livelihood ( Employment & Income ) For all

Food for all

Environment for all

Housing & Infrastructure for all

Health for all

Arts & Culture for all

Science & Technology for all

We strongly feel for the development of a village , a community , a country and of course our globe it is very vital to look at these thematic areas.

Looking at these thematic areas of sustainable development we look at different vulnerable, marginalized and diadvantaged groups offollowing targetr groups :

Women

Children

Youth

Aged

Technology Integration

During this Congress , through pre-congress as well as post congress follow up activities and projects we will explore possibilities of Integrating Technology to Build Social capital to solve problems in various areas specified above. We don’t want to just debate and discuss issues and possible solution but really implement solutions empowered by new technologies.

If you are an academic, researcher, entrepreneur, Policy maker, high official, social worker or someone need technology to disseminate your concept, research work or information management system as a web application, software solution, or as a Mobile Application the Java world congress will be the ideal place for you to find a Java technical expert to achieve your task.

The organizing committee of the Java World Congress will assign you a Java technical expert to fulfill your task or you can meet a technical expert virtually registering on our web site. The technical expert will joint with you as a partner to develop your software application as a component of his higher studies. Then the development cost of your project will be almost zero even the commercial value of it over 10,000 US$.

The Congress, will Plays a Major Role in Distinctions between Bonding, Bridging and Linking Social Capital to Achieve MDGs. There are many definitions to describe “social capital” which is one of the key words of the theme of the World Java Congress 2010. Social capital is fast becoming a core concept in many areas. The key indicators of social capital include social relations, formal and informal social networks, group membership, trust, reciprocity and civic engagement. Social capital is generally understood as the property of the group rather than the property of the individual. Therefore, one of the prime objectives of the Congress is to emphasise the role of networks and civic norms in achieving United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

In this endeavour my main task is to interconnect social capital resources available globally. To accomplish my task I consider many areas of human activities and needs and natural resources that deserve our attention; environment, health, human welfare and humanities, food, science and technology etc. On the completion of the Congress, we will be make important distinctions between bonding, bridging and linking social capital to achieve the MDGs. This will become revolutionary possible through the use of Java Technology as a tool to intgrate those resources virtually first to link physically as a second step.

The secretariat of Java World Congress 2010 in Sri Lanka plans to network researches, R and D professionals, academics, community developers and many more relevant personnel in accomplishing the objectives of the Congress.

Network among youth is utmost important for a world congress in this nature. Bremley’s involvement lead to get involved youth community worldwide to success this event. His experience work fine to develop global young leaders specially from the less priviledged communities of the all part of the world. He is a examplaray young leader led many young youth towards the leadership developing social capital for them in all possible aspects.

Bremley was born in Shillong, North East India, and left home at seventeen on a mission: to see sustainable development pushed and practiced across the planet. In 1992 his experience at the Rio Earth Summit left him convinced that helping people build a better life through social, environmental, and economic development was what he wanted to do. He returned to India to joined the Consortium of Indian Scientists for Sustainable Development and worked on a project to combat decertification and to regenerate the desert ecosystem in Rajasthan. Soon followed the prestigious WWF Prince Berhnard Scholarship for Environmental Leadership.

Bremley then joined UNDP and worked on the Gulf of Mannar biodiversity protection project in Tamil Nadu. This led to a move to New York to join the UN Commission on Sustainable Development Secretariat where he worked with the different major groups of Agenda 21. His Prime Minister in India then asked him to be Youth Representative for the country at the historic UN Millennium Summit, where he addressed world leaders at the 2000 Millennium Assembly. He then joined the Environment Department of the World Bank and worked on linking poverty reduction and environmental management by analyzing policy challenges and opportunities. Later he worked as Program Manager at the Education Development Center (EDC) in Boston developing and managing projects for the 75 country network of the Youth Employment Summit Campaign.

Bremley has been working on a range of sustainable development projects in Sri Lanka with his mentor Arne Fjortoft since 1999. He served on the Executive Committee of the Worldview International Foundation and worked on promoting projects in Sri Lanka like Mandate The Future, Young Asia TV and Paradise Farm to the rest of the world. While working for EDC in Boston Bremley promoted Renewable Energy Technologies (RETs) to create green jobs for young entrepreneurs in developing countries supported by UNIDO in Vienna and the Global Environmental Facility of the World Bank in Washington D.C. He also worked with the Converging World in Bristol to set up the Energy Tree Project which installed wind turbines for clean energy generation for local villages in Tamil Nadu South India in partnership with Social Change And Development (SCAD).

Bremley received post graduate degrees from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University in the USA, the Development Studies Institute at the London School of Economics in the UK, the University of Geneva in Switzerland and the Intercultural Open University in the Netherlands. He is the Founder and CEO of Worldview Impact, the Co-founder of the Global Youth Action Network, the Director of External Relations of Humanitad Foundation and sits on the Board of Directors of PCI Media Impact and GlobalNet21.

Congratulations to the organizers of the first Java World Congress for their intention to assemble the “Java World Family” in Colombo, Sri Lanka, and to achieve UN Millennium Development Goals.

The initiators of the congress are men of great vision because with Java they have chosen the most advanced computer technology of our time. And now they are integrating the most advanced technology of peace and conflict prevention: the Unified Field Technology. With the Unified Field Technology – a technology of consciousness – the foundation for the achievement of UN Millennium Development Goals can be laid.

Progress in physics locates a single, universal Unified Field as the ultimate source of the vast universe. Theoretical and empirical investigation reveals that the Unified Field is fundamentally a field of consciousness.

The Unified Field Technology – Maharishi’s Transcendental Meditation and its advanced techniques including Yogic Flying – allow to directly access and apply the Unified Field.

Specifically, published research confirms that collective practice of the Unified Field Technology by groups of several hundred to several thousand trained experts quickly neutralizes acute societal stress – including the ethnic, religious, and political tensions that fuel violence and conflict. Violence and conflict are thereby averted as tensions are calmed and as the enmity in an adversary is naturally defused.

Such groups of trained, peace – creating experts collectively accessing and stimulating the Unified Field generate powerful waves of unity and coherence that permeate the collective consciousness of the whole population. The immediate, practical result is markedly reduced crime and social violence, and improved positive trends throughout society.

The simplest way to establish a group of trained experts in Unified Field Technology is within a large university or college. Every country has hundreds of thousands, or even millions, of students. With proper training, a group of 1000 or 2000 students can become a powerful peace-creating force, bringing security and invincibility to the nation.

Now, through the Unified Field Technology, every government can fulfill its highest aspirations for its people. Every government can achieve national invincibility and contribute to world peace – and simultaneously secure its own longevity and dignity as a stable sovereign government.

May the Java World Congress be a meeting place for people who are ready to take practical steps for a better world tomorrow.

First of all as the Chairperson of the National Organizing Committee I am honored to work voluntarily for the success of this most important world congress which will discuss, share knowledge and experience, produce applications with practical interventions along with follow up actions on how to integrate new ICT Technologies to Build Social Capital to achieve United Nations Millennium Development Goals ( MDGs) making the world a better place to live for all of us. We would thank the organizers for selecting Colombo, Sri Lanka a nation working hard for sustainable development creating a conducive environment for all different groups to live in harmony after the thirty years of war which destroyed thousands of valuable lives, making a large number of people injured and living in trauma for years with huge damage to physical resource taking the opportunity for development and prosperity away from all of us. We will facilitate in all possible ways to create a better condition to have a very fruitful world congress while you can have the privilege of enjoying the world renown True Sri Lankan Hospitality know to the world at this beautiful island which is considered as one of the best tourist locations with its bio diversity, cultural heritage and the best beaches.

Today the world is getting a more complicated and vulnerable place to live. Approximately half of the world population of the globe (over three billion) lives in poverty. Chronic poverty remains in this planet for ages make this situation worse. At the same time mankind faces comparatively high vulnerability to natural disasters and man made conflicts such as armed conflicts and internal political struggles . This unproductive atmosphere poses a major challenge to the healthiness of the world.

Development Agendas promoted by various international agencies worked in isolation at initial periods and fortunately at the United Nations Millennium Summit held in 2000 in New York facilitated the development of a more holistic framework widely known as Millennium Development Goals. Leaders of the world agreed that they will work with more global cooperation to achieve these eight (8) Goals and eighteen (18) Targets by 2015 closely monitoring forty eight (48) indicators specified. We strongly believe localization of MDGs at national level along will not help achieving these goals aiming at sustainable development focusing poverty reduction making the world more safer place to live. Our aim and commitment is to localize MDGs at Community or Grassroots level looking at both the poverty in rural and urban areas.

Simultaneously we experienced the global ICT revolution which drastically changing the traditional practices of the Agrarian Society exists for thousands of years and Industrial society we were living for hundreds of year creating a knowledge society. Unfortunately reap of this new revolution happening for last five decades have not reached effectively to masses. And of course less efforts have been made to integrate this new technologies based on ICT to promote sustainable development. The proper integration of Open Source Java technologies with Web, TV, Radio, Web and specially mobile can bring unprecedented and remarkable achievements in this crosscutting area.

In this light proposed world Congress will be a platform for researchers, academics, technologists, policy makers, INGOs, NGOs, Development workers and of course for Community leaders representing grassroots. The Nature of a world congress is happening for the first time in the world and we would like to invite all interested parties to join us physically or virtually to make this planet a better and safer place for all of us to live with dignity.

It is an unexpressed pleasure and ultimate happiness to be a one of the founder members and a leading character to organize such a valuable global event in Sri Lanka.
This endeavor is mainly to initiate a global platform which networks dispersed human strengths to achieve unreached human requirements of less fortunate people integrating world class technology available today, to have a better world tomorrow.

At the same time, completely developed Java technology is used to network people and organizations with many resources to share those among stake holders of the Java World Congress for their economical benefits. Simply the congress will be a virtual and physical meeting place of people to build up global relationships for their own economical social and other benefits to achieve success of their personal lives faster.

Tenfold program of the United Nations Millennium Development Goals which was declared at the world summit at year 2000 in Geneva will be implemented using power of Java Technology under theme of Java World Congress to have a sustainable development in the world.

It is a norm that development rate of the software technology is considerably lower in comparison to the hardware technological development globally. Software technological development is directly involved with the human brain. For someone to learn and meet the global requirement of the software technology takes time because it needs many years of experience.

Software technological expertise gained through the experience by a particular person cannot be transferred to a new person easily. No one can start software technological training from the place previous person stopped. He/She has to start from the beginning.

My recommendation is for the youth worldwide, who is having a passion of gaining software technological know how, they should gain their knowledge skill and experience on or before they reach the age of 24. If not they have to involve themselves with the general life commitments which leads to hamper the technological advancement of their brains.

In this phenomenon the Java Technology is the best solution because that is developed to give knowledge skill and experience faster. Since Java Technology is the best technological solution available today to train human brain faster to meet software technological requirements to network people and organizations to build social capital to achieve United Nations Millennium Development Goals to make this world a better place to live.
